An independent small batch Distillery established in 2020.
We make artisanal spirits taking inspiration from Birmingham,
The City of 1000 Trades, and the surrounding area.
Taking that inspiration, we have sourced exceptional ingredients and botanicals to hand make a signature range, including Gin and Vodka made in Birmingham, from scratch, and a spiced rum blended from the finest imported Caribbean rums.
Once distilled and blended we lovingly bottle our spirits by hand adding the final flourish of a wax seal stamped with the Distillery’s very own seal of approval.
Since the 1800's Birmingham 'The City of 1000 Trades" was famous for small workshops filled with highly skilled workers producing a huge range of products. In the 21st century it's dynamic vibrant conurbation with the youngest population of any major European city. Famous for canals, cars, The Bull Ring, Balti's, The Baggies Blues & Villans and iconic landmarks including the floozie in the jacuzzi and Centenary Square. The City is continuing to change, develop and expand with new communication links, development projects and the Commonwealth Games all defining the next decade for Birmingham. Looking back in history the people of our city have invented the steam engine, with James Watt also coining the term, ‘horsepower’. Other pioneering machines made by James Watt and John Hall-Edwards in the city became the precursors to modern day photocopiers and x-ray machines.
If you look through the bottle you can see some of Birmingham’s most loved and iconic landmarks. Town Hall, Birmingham Council House, The Library, The Wheel in Centenary Square, Old Joe - Birmingham University Clock Tower, BT Tower, The Rotunda, The Bull Ring, St Martin in the Bull Ring and Radisson Blu - 12 Holloway Circus. If you look beyond the famous city centre skyline you will find many hidden gems including The Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth, Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, Solihull, and Lickey Hills.
