It is difficult to open a business in 2020 and not mention COVID-19. A global pandemic that has touched every corner of the World.  There have been changes in our daily lives and even restrictions on what we can and can’t do.  As time goes by, we hope the effects it’s had on us will be positive ones, despite the many lives it has taken and the challenges it has caused.

We have planned our distillery, our spirits, suppliers the design and packaging for a number of years.  We did not plan to make hand sanitisers; in fact, it was not something we had even considered!  However, as we worked through early 2020 into mid 2020 and towards going operational in August 2020 it was clear COVID-19 would be around for a while.

It felt like the right thing to do to make hand sanitisers and we have.  We did some research and with the correct ingredients and a few pieces of additional equipment we were ready to produce.  The production process is reasonably simple and is a process that takes no more than 4 days from start to finish.  We are sure this will never be more than something we can do and do, do, intermittently.  If people in the local community, and beyond, need it we now have hand sanitiser available.

Our packs are a handy 100ml that will fit in your pocket or handbag really easily.  We also do a 500ml pack for more regular usage.  We can do bigger packs if they are required, contact us for more information.

Our hand sanitisers are all made in the distillery to the World Health Organisation's

recommended formulation. They are 80% alcohol (v/v) and can effectively be used for hygienic hand antisepsis. This is particularly important if you don’t have access to soap and water to clean your hands.
